The crowd attending the rally filled Hinds Plaza and a portion of Witherspoon Street.

A few thousand people filled Hinds Plaza and Witherspoon Street in the heart of Princeton Saturday afternoon to decry racism and show their solidarity in response to the recent killings in Atlanta and the rise in hate crimes against Asians in the United States. The entire plaza was full of people, and a portion of Witherspoon Street was shut down to accommodate the overflow crowd that filled the street and a portion of Hulfish Street. The rally was organized by the Princeton Chinese Community in partnership with several other area organizations, including: the Association of Chinese Students and Scholars at Princeton University, the Central Jersey Chinese American Association, La Convivencia NJ, the Montgomery Township Equity and Inclusion Committee, the New Jersey Vietnamese American Community Association, Princeton Progressive Chinese Americans, Princeton Theological Seminary’s Asian American Program, the Princeton University Chinese American Parents Association, Not in Our Town, the Rotary Club of Princeton, the Latin American Legal Defense Fund, Our Revolution Trenton, and Mercer United Chinese Americans NJ.
