Mercer County residents served by Trenton Water Works could experience low water pressure beginning Sunday night

Don’t be surprised if your water pressure is low over the next few days if you are a Trenton Water Works customer.

The Trenton Water Works is conducting emergency repairs on a section of pipe at the Pennington Avenue Reservoir in Trenton. Beginning on Sunday, July 11, at 11 p.m., workers will start to repair a failed section of pipe at the reservoir. A connection with New Jersey American Water will be activated that will supply water to the Trenton Water Works system to meet water dempand while Trenton Water Works distribution systems are shut down durng the pipe repair project.

Officials estimate that the pipe repair work will take about 72 hours.

The Trenton Water Works serves  about 225,000 people in Trenton, parts of Hamilton, Ewing, Lawrence, and Hopewell Township.
