Third mural unveiled at the Princeton Shopping Center
A new mural shares an uplifting message with patrons at the Princeton Shopping Center.
“Lead with Kindness” is the third mural in a series at the shopping center. The mural is located on McCaffrey’s courtyard wall.
Laura Dominick, the lead design and media manager for shopping center owner EDENS, created the mural design as part of a partnership between the shopping center and the Arts Council of Princeton. Dominick said she sees her mural message as part of a movement. “Art catalyzes and enriches communities,” she said. “Our final mural with the Arts Council is a vivid reminder to live each day with more empathy and thoughtfulness.”
The Arts Council of Princeton and the Princeton Shopping Center announced the partnership last year to produce three murals designed for exterior spaces at the shopping center. Each mural would highlight a positive message to the Princeton community. In June of 2021, the “Bring on the Joy” mural was completed on the interior courtyard wall between Princeton Mattress and Smith’s ACE Hardware. Earlier this year, artists completed work on the second mural, “LOVE,” located next to the Bella Boutique facing Harrison Street.
“Completing this third and final mural allows us time to reflect on what a joy it has been to work with the Princeton Shopping Center to launch their public art series,” Arts Council of Princeton Executive Director Adam Welch said. “These three murals bring so much color and love to the visitor’s experience, and this 36-plus year partnership with the Princeton Shopping Center has embodied the notion of kindness captured in this final mural.”
