Flood watch extended until Wednesday for Princeton region

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a flood watch for Mercer, Middlesex, and Somerset counties in New Jersey and Lower Bucks County and Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. The flood watch has been extended until 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected Tuesday afternoon and evening. Excessive runoff could cause rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying areas to flood.

If you live in an area that is prone to flooding, be prepared to take action.
