Water main break affects residents in portions of Montgomery and Princeton (updated Saturday)
A water main break in Montgomery has caused service disruptions for residents and businesses in parts of Montgomery and northern Princeton.
The water main break occurred in the early afternoon. As of about 3:20 p.m., residents along Bunn Drive in Princeton reported that water had been restored. But residents in other areas said they still did not have water.
Princeton Fitness and Wellness was closed Friday due to the water main break. Montogomery officials said the following food businesses in Montgomery were affected and told to close temporarily: Princeton Fitness & Wellness Cafe, Midori Sushi, Bagel Barn, Alfonsos, Tript Foods, Sweet Gourmet Bakery, Burger King, and Midpoint Grill.
Route 206 in Montgomery was still closed between Route 518 and Cherry Valley Road due to the water main break as of 4 p.m. Saturday. Police said drivers should avoid the area.
Route 206 north of Cherry Valley closed. Detour nightmare through Rocky Hill. Nothing on Nixle posted. Jim K
Route 206 between Cherry Valley Road and Route 528 is still closed. Likely due to the water main break. This must be a major break. There is no mention that this major highway is closed. The police departments and digital news sites should post a notice.
Story updated Jim. Thank you.
