92nd Annual Bryn Mawr-Wellesley Book Sale set for March 20-24
The largest annual book sale in the Princeton region returns this month. The 92nd annual Bryn Mawr-Wellesley Book Sale will take place March 20-24 at Stuart Country Day School, which is located at 1200 Stuard Road.
The Bryn Mawr-Wellesley Book Sale raises money for college scholarships for local students. All profits are used to fund the scholarships.
This yearβs sale is dedicated to long-time president Claire Jacobus, who died in November, and to Shushma Frazier, who volunteered at the book sale for many years and died in December.
Bibliophiles from the East Coast and beyond flock to Princeton for the annual sale in search of bargains and rare finds.
βWe have tens of thousands of books in excellent condition including non-fiction, fiction, trade, hardback, softback, art, rare and collectible books, photography, children’s, audio books, DVDs, and Ephemera, which includes vintage postcards,β said Kathy Morris, book sale president.
The sale this year features a large number of British history books from Princeton University’s Dodge Professor of History Emeritus Sir David Cannadine. Princeton University’s William and Annie S. Paton Foundation Professor of Ancient and Modern Literature Emeritus Ulrich C Knoepflmacher has also donated many books to the sale.
Philosophy books from another Princeton professor’s collection will also be offered, and the sale also includes a large selection of rare books and five boxes of rare comic book auction catalogs.
