Jean Folkers of Princeton dies at 93
Jean K. Folkers, 93, of Princeton died on June 13 at the Penn Medicine Princeton Hospital in Plainsboro. Born in Passaic, she was raised in Fairlawn and graduated from Ridgewood High School and Columbia University. She lived in Princeton, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Lewisburg, Pennsylvania before moving back to Princeton in 1991.
Daughter of the late Robert F. and Gertrude (Post) Kendall, Sr. and sister of the late Robert F. Kendall, Jr., she is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, George F. Folkers; two sons and two daughters-in-law – Gregory Folkers and Sheila Stinson, and Jonathan Folkers and Drennan Lindsay; a daughter and son-in-law – Kate Folkers and Steven Kasdin; and three grandchildren – Olivia Kasdin, Isabel Kasdin, and Mira Lindsay-Folkers. Jean also leaves several grandcats and granddogs.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, at the Princeton Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mather-Hodge Funeral Home in Princeton.
