National Night Out postponed in Princeton and other area communities
The annual National Night Out community gathering that takes place every August in many towns across the country has been postponed in several municipalities in the Princeton area due to the weather.
National Night Out was scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 6. But heavy rain is expected on Tuesday. The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a flood watch that is in effect Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning.
The Princeton Police Department announced Monday afternoon that the event is being postponed until Aug. 13.
Montgomery and Plainsboro officials canceled this year’s event in their municipalities.
