New mural featured at Johnson Park Elementary School

A new mural awaits students when school begins this September at Johnson Park Elementary School.
The mural includes a colorful rendition of the school’s vegetable and flower garden and features the school’s pledge. The pledge emphasizes responsibility, respect, safety, and kindness.
The mural was a collaboration between Art Council of Princeton artists Melissa Kuscin, Maria Evans, and Lisa Peck; Johnson Park PTO co-presidents Brooke Cole, Grace Wuertz, and Kathleen Brennan; former Principal Dr. Angela Siso-Stentz; and other volunteers. The mural was made possible through donations from Johnson Park families and PTO supporters.
Organizers thought the cafeteria was the ideal location for the mural because the space is used by every student for lunch. The space is also used for assemblies, ceremonies, and extracurricular activities.
