Breaking News: Princeton Police Searching for TD Bank Robber

TD Bank Robbery Princeton

The TD Bank at the intersection of Cherry Valley Road and Route 206 in Princeton was robbed this morning at 11:35 a.m.

A TD Bank employee telephoned the Princeton Police Department and reported the robbery. The employee reported that an unknown white male walked into the bank alone, approached a bank teller, and passed a note demanding cash and indicating that he was armed.

The teller handed the male cash in an envelope and he left the bank on foot. No weapon was observed by the bank employees and no one was injured. There was no conversation between the male and bank employees.

Police officers searched the surrounding area for the suspect, but were unable to locate him. The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department aided the search with a tracking dog. A few area schools went into lockdown mode for a few hours after the robbery.

The robber is described as a white male, 5’3”- 5’5”, 23 to 25 years of age, with a thin build. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a yellow animal-type imprint, white long sleeve undershirt, blue jeans, and a baseball cap with a yellow bird-type imprint on the front.

This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should call Detective Sergeant Christopher Quaste at (609) 921-2100 ext. 2120, or cquaste@princetonnj.gov.

  1. Have the police stopped using their Twitter/Nixle feeds? There is no news about this there. Shouldn’t an alert have gone out? I didn’t get one.
