Police Seize More Than $100,000 Worth of Drugs in West Windsor

After a month-long investigation, police in West Windsor seized more than $100,000 in drugs and almost $100,000 in cash at a residence in the township.

Just after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, officers with the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force and the West Windsor Township Police Department executed a search warrants on South Lane.

Resident Toby Weissman was allegedly located in a bedroom on the second floor without incident along with Christopher Martinez, Mariselle Toro-Bonilla, Leah Kahn, Anton Shvets, Theodore Decarlo and Ryan Lefler. A search of Weissman’s bedroom, where all seven individuals were located, revealed approximately 15 pounds of marijuana in the room, $98,050 in a safe in a closet, five pounds of marijuana gummy bears in a closet, approximately five to seven ounces of hash and hash oil in the room, six clonazepam pills in a closet, a stun gun in the closet, two flat-screen televisions and $1,306 in the room. Drug paraphernalia, including scales, packaging materials and smoking devices, were also found throughout the room. Three tabs of LSD were located in a spare room in a small refrigerator.

Weissman’s 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle and 2015 Subaru SUV were seized as drug proceeds, police said.

The estimated street value of the seized marijuana is approximately $96,000. The street value of the THC gummy bears is estimated at $1,000. The street value of the hash and hash oil is estimated between $5,000 and $7,000. The street value of LSD is estimated at $30, and the street value of clonazepam is estimated at $60, police said.

Weissman, 29,  has been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a prescription legend drug, two counts of possession with the intent to distribute, two counts of possession with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail has been set at $150,000 cash or bond.

Martinez, age 23, of Hamilton Lane in Plainsboro, Toro-Bonilla, age 29, of Scenic Drive in Ewing, Kahn, age 22, of Rath Lane in East Brunswick, Shvets, age 22, of Sayer Drive in Princeton, Decarlo, age 28, of East 4th Street in Florence, and Lefler, age 31, of North Leigh Avenue in Hamilton, are each charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a prescription legend drug, two counts of possession with the intent to distribute, two counts of possession with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of a park, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kahn is additionally charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams for narcotics found in her purse. Bail was set at $75,000 cash or bond for each defendant.

The following agencies assisted with the investigation: the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigation Unit, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, the New Jersey State Police, and the Hamilton, Lawrence, Trenton and West Windsor police departments.
