Roadwork Begins Next Week for Route 518 Bridge Project
Roadwork is slated to begin on May 23 in preparation for the replacement of the bridge over the D&R Canal on Route 518 in Franklin Township.
The New Jersey Department of Transportation is coordinating the replacement of the bridge, which is located near the Rocky Hill border.
Daytime work from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the area of the bridge will begin next week. Motorists should expect one-direction closures from time to time, with detours or other altered traffic patterns possible during the daytime work.
The bridge will be closed to all traffic 24 hours a day from about July 6 until August 5. The construction schedule is weather dependent and subject to change.
