Where you can see Independence Day fireworks in the greater Princeton area
Every night until the weekend after July 4, you can catch a fireworks display somewhere in the greater Princeton area if the weather cooperates. There are no fireworks in Princeton. Following is a schedule for fireworks in neighboring towns. The festivities are open to the public. Please post any changes or additions in comments. June 28
Trenton Thunder – post-game fireworks at Arm & Hammer Park in Trenton.
June 29
Montgomery Township – Celebration kicks off at 6 p.m. at Montgomery High School. Food vendors, activities, music and more. Fireworks will begin at 9:15 p.m. Rain date is July 6.

June 30
Bordentown Township – Fireworks at dusk at Joseph Lawrence Park. Rain date is July 8.
Lawrence Township – Live music will begin at 6 p.m. at Rider University. Bring a blanket and a picnic basket. fireworks at about 9:30 p.m. Rain date is set for July 1.
South Brunswick – Independence Day celebration begins at 6 p.m. at Crossroads South Middle School, 195 Major Road, Monmouth Junction. Fireworks will begin at about 9:15 p.m.
July 1
Ewing Township – Fireworks will begin at about 9:15 p.m. on Green Lane. Bring a blanket or chairs.
July 2
East Windsor – Independence Day festivities begins at 6 p.m. at Etra Lake Park with a performance by Jerry Rife’s Rhythm Kings Dixieland Jazz Band. Fireworks will start at about 9:30 p.m.
July 3
Hamilton Township – Fireworks will start at about 9 p.m at Veterans Park.
July 4
Trenton Thunder – Post-game fireworks at Arm & Hammer Park in Trenton.
July 5
Cranbury – The Mercer County Symphonic Band will perform at 6:30 p.m. Fireworks will start at dusk at Village Park. Rain date is July 6.

Lambertville/New Hope – Fireworks over the Delaware River begin at about 9:30 p.m. Fireworks displays the first Friday of each month for Aug. and Sept. also.
