A pizza and hoagie shop that was a favorite spot for students and workers who wanted to grab a quick slice or two of pizza on their lunch breaks is closed for good due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The owner of Princeton Pi posted signs on the windows of the shop at 84 Nassau Street informing the public that the eatery is closed for good.

“Princeton Pi is permanently closed. Current conditions make it impossible for us to continue to operate,” reads one of the signs. “This was not an easy decision to make, and we appreciate your support over the years.”

In the spring after the pandemic began, longtime Nassau Street shoe store Ricchard’s also closed permanently.
