St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Princeton partnered with Penn Medicine Princeton Health to host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Sunday, May 2. Church representatives did a lot of outreach to the Spanish-speaking community to spread awareness about the clinic. About 150 people were vaccinated at the clinic.Volunteers included the Knights of Columbus Council 636.

“I am very proud and blessed by this collaboration with Penn Medicine Princeton Health,” said the Rev. Miguel Valle, pastor of St. Paul Parish. “As a church, this is our call. In addition to being a place for worship, we also have the moral obligation to contribute to the efforts against this pandemic and to save lives in our community.”

People received the first dose of the Moderna vaccine. Second doses will be administered for the same people on May 30 at the same location.

  1. Yes! I got my first shot at St. Paul’s School cafeteria on May 2. My arm was sore and I felt a little washed out and fatigued for a day and a half, feeling fine now. The support staff handed out bottles of water and the weather was cooperative. I thought there would be a problem with parking but I did manage to find a parking space in the St. Paul’s parking lot. The whole process took about an hour and a half (for me), they do require you to sit for about 15 minutes after the shot. It went well.
