The Lawrence Hopewell Trail’s 9th annual Full Moon Bike Ride is set for Saturday, Sept. 14, at Mercer Meadows.

The six-mile ride features a DJ, glow-in-the-dark juggling with the Trenton Circus Squad, live music, and s’mores around a campfire at the end. Light up your bike for the ride and compete for prizes.

This ride is co-sponsored by the Mercer County Park Commission. You must be 12 and older to participate. Register online ahead of time for a discount. The cost is $20 for adults and $15 for youth. On-site registration is $25 for adults.

The event is a fundraiser for the Lawrence Hopewell Trail Corp., which helps develop and maintain the trail.

Although the moon will be nearly full and offering some light, front and rear bike lights are required. Helmets are required in New Jersey law for cyclists under 18. The Lawrence Hopewell Trail encourages all other riders to wear a helmet as well.

Meet at Rosedale Lake off Federal City Road between Blackwell Road and Old Mill Road in Pennington. Registration check-in begins at 7 p.m. The ride kicks off with a special send-off celebration at 7:30 p.m. but participants can start late. All riders must be off the course by 9:30 p.m.
