Jules Pizza

Workers removed the Subway sign from 18 Witherspoon Street in downtown Princeton last week and replaced it with a Jules pizza sign. There were conflicting reports in the press about whether Jules would replace Subway. The new pizzeria is slated to open in June.

  1. Is it true that the original landlord on the Subway space was not aware that Subway was a chain? Or is that just [sub]urban legend? Anyone?

    1. They knew it was a chain. The same people own one in Pennington, and they successfully sued to get the rights to the other Subway on Nassau after it was approved by the zoning board (Some chains give a whole territory to one franchise owner).
